About the role
Who are we:
Think global, act local: ETG Pulses is one of the world's leading processors, exporters and supply chain managers of sustainable plant-based food products and ingredients.
Based in North Brisbane and working with regional Australian communities for over a decade, ETG Australia sources Pulses (Lentils, Chickpeas, and Bean varieties) at the farm gate for packing, processing and export for global consumption.
To accommodate organisational growth, we are seeking a motivated, agribusiness professional to join our small, interdependent team. While you will work closely with our packing facility 'Wimpak' in the Wimmera Region of Victoria, you can expect to have your boots on the ground throughout the pulse and cereal growing areas of regional Victoria and South Australia.
The Position:
Reporting to the Head of Trading, and working alongside the Trade, Execution and Facility teams, this position acts as a conduit between the organisation and grower communities, and, oversees the end-to-end accumulation of pulses and cereals within the region. The strategic and commercial components of this position are underpinned by your ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

This position will suit someone who is eager to build their career within commodity procurement whether you are a recent graduate, an emerging talent or simply looking to diversify your established agribusiness career. You will demonstrate:
Clear, capable, solutions focussed communication which will allow you to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of growers and suppliers.
Successful planning, coordination and organisation of your time, tasks and resources to achieve the desired outcomes.
Practical understanding of safety and compliance within the agricultural landscape.
An ability to work proactively and independently within a dynamic and interconnected team, understanding how your work impacts the overall ETG Team.
Confidence in using the MS Suite and ERP as part of your daily function.
Commercial and Strategic thinking with strong attention detail and analytical capability.
Practical understanding of the Agricultural industry and it's relationship with regional communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold all safety and compliance regulations, showing care and consideration for yourself, your peers and industry regulations.
Provide exceptional service to growers and suppliers, acting as a point of contact for all queries and outgoing communication.
Execute purchase contracts and coordinate logistics where required.
Manage seasonal supply dynamics, working with regional packing facilities, freight companies and export teams to achieve the desired commercial outcomes.
Provide strategic insight to internal stakeholders regarding crop conditions and yield, grower sentiment and price expectations.
Develop strong, enduring, professional working relationships with key stakeholders including growers, brokers, industry advisors, logistics and governing bodies where required.
Attend and represent ETG Australia at relevant events such as field days and industry meetings.
Knowledge, Experience, Licences and Qualifications:
C Class Driver's licence
Degree in Business, Agriculture or Supply Chain (desired)
Experience working with growers in regional communities (desired)
Experience in logistics, procurement, or Agricultural supply chain (desired).
Knowledge of pulse markets and associated grading standards (desired).
