Ches Power Group (CPG) is a leading provider of power generation solutions across Western Australia, delivering installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning services for diesel and gas-powered generator systems across mining, industrial, commercial, utilities, agriculture, and critical infrastructure sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician with generator experience to join our highly skilled service team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Electrical servicing, fault finding and repair of diesel generator systems

• Generator inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown response

• Control system diagnostics and repairs

• Generator commissioning and load bank testing

• LV electrical installations and modifications

• Switchboard and ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) fault finding

• Electrical testing and compliance verification

• Site commissioning of new generator installations

• Completion of maintenance reports and service documentation

• Providing technical support to customers and internal teams

Work will be conducted both in the Perth metropolitan area and on regional customer sites as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

• Current WA Electrical Licence

• Current Manual Driver's Licence

• Experience working on diesel generator systems

• Strong electrical fault-finding capabilities

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Volvo Penta, Cummins, Perkins, Scania, MTU or similar generator products

• Generator controller experience (ComAp, Deep Sea Electronics, DEIF, Woodward, PCC, etc.)

• Experience with mining, industrial or critical power applications

• High Risk Work Licences

• Working at Heights

• EWP, Forklift or Dogging tickets

• First Aid Certification
