Discover Solar is looking for an experienced A-Grade Solar & Battery Electrician to join our growing Melbourne installation team.

We’re looking for an electrician who knows solar and batteries inside and out, takes pride in their work and wants a secure, long-term position with a growing company.

The Role

You’ll work as part of our installation team, completing high-quality residential solar and battery projects across Melbourne, along with occasional commercial installations.

Your work will include:

• Solar PV installations

• Battery storage installations

• Hybrid inverter installations

• Whole-home backup systems

• Gateway installation and commissioning

• Switchboard upgrades and associated electrical work

• Testing, commissioning and fault finding

• Ensuring installations meet Victorian electrical requirements, Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications

• Maintaining clean, organised and professional worksites

• Working closely with our Operations Manager, electricians and apprentices

What We’re Looking For

This is not an entry-level solar position. We need someone with solid hands-on experience across both solar and battery installations.

Essential Requirements

• Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence

• Current SAA Solar PV and Battery Storage Accreditation

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

• White Card

• Proven residential solar installation experience

• Proven battery installation experience

• Proven experience installing and commissioning hybrid inverters

• Proven experience with whole-home backup systems

• Proven experience installing and commissioning gateways

• Experience completing switchboard upgrades and electrical alterations

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Strong understanding of solar, battery and electrical compliance requirements

• Reliability, attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

Experience with battery storage, hybrid inverters, backup systems, gateways, commissioning and switchboard upgrades is essential for this position.
