Practice Nurse Manager | Forest Hill

The Role

As Practice Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Practice Manager, Medical Director and Regional Nurse Manager to deliver excellent clinical, operational and patient outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Lead, coach and mentor Practice Nurses, Treatment Room Assistants and Medical AssistantsManage team performance, development plans, regular one-on-one discussions and ongoing clinical educationCoordinate nursing rosters and maintain appropriate coverage and skill mixOversee the daily operation, presentation and efficiency of the treatment roomManage clinical equipment, medical supplies, stock levels, maintenance and calibrationEnsure sterilisation, infection control and clinical procedures meet relevant standardsSupport nursing recruitment, onboarding and workforce planningReview treatment room activity, reporting and performance dataPartner with centre leadership to improve clinical outcomes, operational performance and patient satisfactionSupport accreditation activities and lead nursing or clinical improvement projectsBuild positive relationships with GPs, allied health professionals and community partners

Clinical Responsibilities

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will continue to provide hands-on patient care, including:

Health assessments and preventative healthcareChronic disease management plans, team care arrangements and reviewsNurse-led clinics delivered in accordance with clinical policies and standing ordersPatient education, health coaching and ongoing clinical monitoringCoordination of care with GPs, allied health professionals and other support teamsAccurate and compliant clinical documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseAt least two years’ experience providing direct clinical nursing careDemonstrated leadership and people-management experienceStrong clinical knowledge and sound professional judgementExcellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skillsConfidence managing performance, resolving issues and supporting team developmentA proactive, collaborative and patient-focused approachExperience in general practice, chronic disease management, preventative healthcare or health promotion is highly desirable
