About the role
Join our Outreach Accommodation Support Intervention Services (OASIS) team, where you’ll play a vital role in providing support, with trauma-informed practices, women and children who have escaped Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and are now residing at our housing services.
This is a 9-month fixed-term Parental Leave Cover. The role is hands-on and active, based in a residential setting in Western Sydney and requires the employee to be based on site full-time to ensure positive relationships and in person collaboration with the clients residing at our housing services.
As a DFV Support Worker, you’ll work closely with DFV Practitioners and provide hands-on support to women and children residing in Human & Co’s housing services, helping them towards a better, more secure life.
This role includes manual handling tasks to support women and children in their daily routines or as part of moving housing facilities. Please ensure you’re comfortable with physical activity as part of the job.
As Human & Co provides services exclusively to women and children, being female is a genuine occupational requirement for this position pursuant to Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
The following are required before you can start with us. We will verify these prior to commencement, and we can support you through any applications you have not yet completed.
