We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join our high-performing team at Subaru Essendon in Melbourne, Victoria, in a permanent full-time position.

As a key member of the dealership leadership team, you will proudly represent our OEM partner Subaru, driving new vehicle sales performance while supporting a customer-focused and results-oriented sales culture. Working closely with the General Sales Manager, you will lead, coach and develop the sales team to achieve sales targets, maximise finance opportunities with Subaru Financial Services, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will play an important role in contributing to dealership profitability, operational excellence, and the ongoing success of the Subaru Essendon business.

About the Role

As the Sales Manager, you will lead the day-to-day new vehicle sales operation, driving sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability across the department.

Reporting to the General Sales Manager, you will coach and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring sales targets are achieved while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will also support finance penetration, sales process compliance, and operational excellence across the dealership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead through teams responsible for managing, development and coaching of your teams

• Role model and ensure all team members deliver an exceptional customer experience

• Continuity of business process adhered and followed with a continuous improvement mindset

• Contributing to overall business success and improving where required, using and interpreting data and reporting

• Recruitment, selection and on boarding of new team members

• Promote a positive workplace culture

• Ensure rostering/employee ratios support operational requirements

• Maintain and ensure strong product knowledge within your team

• Facilities management and marketing campaigns

About you

• Experienced and knowledgeable of the automotive industry and the competitive consumer landscape

• Proven experience managing, developing and leading Sales teams

• Demonstrate Business Acumen

• Proven sales success

• Effective communication and negotiation skills

• Proven ability to make effective and informed decisions

• A full driver’s licence with a sound driving record
