The Opportunity
Community Support Incorporated is seeking to appoint voluntary Board Directors with experience in finance, legal governance and/or clinical governance. These appointments will strengthen the Board’s collective capability as the organisation continues to deliver highquality, communityfocused services in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
These opportunities will suit experienced professionals who are motivated to contribute at a strategic governance level and make a meaningful impact within a purposedriven notforprofit organisation.

Role Overview
As a Board Director, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction, financial sustainability and governance of Community Support Incorporated. Working collaboratively with fellow directors and the executive team, you will help ensure the organisation continues to meet its legal, financial and regulatory obligations while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and community outcomes.
Directors are expected to act in the best interests of the organisation and uphold high standards of governance, integrity and ethical decisionmaking.
Skills And Experience Sought
The Board is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Financial Expertise
Senior financial, accounting or audit experienceAbility to interpret financial reports and contribute to financial oversight and sustainability
Legal Experience
Legal qualifications or professional experienceStrong understanding of governance, risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks
Clinical Governance Experience
Experience in clinical governance, quality and safety, or service oversight within health, aged care, disability or community servicesUnderstanding of regulatory standards and continuous improvement frameworks
Previous board experience is welcome but not essential. Applicants should demonstrate sound judgement, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in monthly Board meetings and strategic planning sessionsContribute to governance oversight, risk management and organisational performanceProvide specialist insight in finance, legal matters and/or clinical governance as relevantSupport the development of a strong governance culture and effective board decisionmaking
Time Commitment
This is a voluntary role involving approximately 11 Board meetings per year. Board Members will also participate in a sub-committee of the Board. Flexible participation arrangements are available, including hybrid and online attendance options.
