About the Role

We’re seeking a capable and confident Civil Operator with experience on excavators, graders, and general earthmoving equipment.

This is a hands-on role working across a variety of civil projects including roadworks, drainage, culverts, reinstatement, bulk earthworks, utilities, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is someone who can jump straight onto the machine, work well with a small team, and complete high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Safe and efficient operation of excavators, graders, and other earthmoving machinery

Civil earthworks including trimming, final trim, bulk earthworks, trenching, backfilling, reinstatement

Working to levels, laser setups, and site plans

Completing daily pre-starts and equipment checks

Supporting on-ground civil works when needed

Following all safety procedures, SWMS and site requirements

Maintaining a clean and professional work environment

 Skills & Experience

 Essential:

Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) licence

Proven experience operating excavators and graders in a civil environment

Grader Experience Favourable 

Ability to assist with labouring and site setup when required 

Strong earthmoving and final trim skills 

White Card 

Reliable, safe, and team-oriented work ethic 

Ability to work unsupervised and produce consistently high-quality work 

Desirable (not essential):

 Skid steer, roller, or additional plant tickets 

Experience working under councils, VicRoads, Melbourne Water or utilities
