Process Engineer

Innovia Films is a global leader in the manufacture of specialty BOPP films used in packaging, labels and security applications. We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our Craigieburn manufacturing facility and play a key role in driving process optimisation, product quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide technical support across our manufacturing operations, with a focus on extrusion processes, raw material performance and production efficiency.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Sales and our UK R&D team, you will help deliver process improvements, investigate technical issues and support new product and material trials.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise polymer extrusion processes

• Investigate process issues, quality defects and downtime events

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

• Support product trials, process validation and new material introductions

• Analyse process data to identify improvement opportunities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures

• Provide technical support to operations, quality and commercial teams

• Collaborate with polymer suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve product performance

About You

You will possess:

• A degree in Chemical, Materials or Polymer Engineering

• 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of polymer behaviour, additives and processing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience driving process improvement initiatives

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience within polymer, plastics, film extrusion, packaging or a related manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
