About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare professional to join our team at Tattle Tales Pre School in Tarrawanna NSW. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, development and learning of young children. You will work collaboratively with our experienced educators to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your contribution will be fundamental to delivering exceptional care and fostering positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing at all times
Supporting educators in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities and experiences
Assisting with daily routines including meals, nappy changes, toileting and rest time
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment within designated areas
Building positive relationships with children and responding to their individual needs and interests
Supporting the implementation of centre policies and procedures
Communicating effectively with families regarding their child's progress, needs and development
Fostering an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity
Assisting with behaviour guidance using positive, age-appropriate strategies
What we're looking for
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to complete training)
Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Physical capability to lift, carry and engage in active play with young children
Patience, flexibility and a calm approach to managing challenging situations
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is highly desirable
Understanding of child development and play-based learning principles is preferred
