Chef de Partie - Rottnest island

Hotel Rottnest, located on the premiere tourist destination Rottnest Island, has earnt its spot in WA's Best 25 Pubs - overlooking breathtaking views of Thomson Bay. With endless summer fun, annual events that sees crowds of visitors make themselves at home at the pub for their afternoon entertainment - Hotel Rottnest is the destination venue for those exploring the island.  

We are currently seeking passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic Hotel Rottnest venue kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where quality, teamwork, and creativity are valued.  
Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality dishes in a consistent and timely manner within your designated section.
• Manage and oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
• Assist in maintaining food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards. Whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Contribute to menu development and kitchen innovation under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Liaising with front of house and management regarding customers and general service of kitchen operations

 Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Experience in hotels, resorts, or fine dining preferred but not required
• Education: Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays

This is a commuter role requiring regular travel from the Fremantle or Hillary's Port to Rottnest Island.
