YWCA Canberra is searching for an exceptional Program Manager/Educational Leader to spearhead our School Age Care service in the heart of Canberra's North.
Position Details:
Employment Type: Permanent - 38 hours per week
Hourly rate: $44.14 + Worker Retention Payment + Educational Leader allowance $2.00 per hour
Working Hours: Split shifts (morning and afternoon), with applicable allowance
About the Role:
As our Program Manager/Educational Leader, you will take the lead of a passionate team of educators, crafting innovative programs and nurturing environments where every child can thrive. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference and be part of something truly meaningful.
You will receive support from a specialised central team to assist you in your role as Program Manager. This includes an Operations Director, Quality & Compliance Manager, Quality Support team, Roster Clerk and Accounts/ Enrolments team.
What You Will Need:
A Diploma of Education and Care or equivalent - ACECQA approved (transcript required)
Proven experience in developing comprehensive educational programs
Understanding of children's diverse needs, including those with varying abilities.
Prior experience working with children requiring specialised care is advantageous.
Thorough understanding of National Quality Framework and Regulations, encompassing National Quality Standards, My Time Our Place 2.0, and up-to-date best practices and pedagogies in Care and Education (essential).
Exceptional leadership and teamwork skills
Full driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
Working with Vulnerable People Registration (ACT) or willingness to obtain
Australian Citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia
Satisfactory Police Check and First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
