Junior Legal Secretary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a strong administration background wanting to make a meaningful impact every day!

The Junior Legal Secretary will be joining our head office in Sydney and work closely within a Workers Compensation practice group to perform day-to-day routine clerical and administrative tasks. Some of the responsibilities include: 

• Drafting correspondence and memos.
• Corresponding with relevant internal stakeholders to action tasks relating to client files and memos.
• Update client files with correspondences accordingly.
• Scheduling appointments and diary management.
• Liaising with clients and other third parties.
• Billing, preparing invoices, trust account authorities.
• Ensure matters are closed and prepared for archiving.
• Closely assisting the Senior Secretary within the practice with the daily operational tasks of the group. 
• Actively assisting the team to ensure efficient work practices are maintained.

About You:

We are looking for a diligent and professional individual with a positive attitude. You will have excellent attention to detail and and the ability to work autonomously whilst also collaborating in a team environment.

• 1+ years of experience as a legal secretary/assistant or a similar role.
• Organised and able to maintain high quality work with strong attention to detail.
• Sound typing and document drafting skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task with accuracy during busy times.
• Highly motivated and self-driven
• Effective communication skills including excellent phone etiquette.
