Truck Driver/ General Hand

Due to strong growth in our company, Shelford is offering the opportunity for a hardworking Truck Driver/General Hand to join our construction team.

As an integral member of our construction team your role will include:

• Transporting materials and equipment to and from our construction sites 

• Loading and unloading work vehicles 

• Maintain, repair and log vehicles, plant and equipment to ensure each is in safe working order

• Receiving, recording and distributing deliveries to the warehouse and to site 

• Conduct stock takes

• Maintaining inventory of equipment and materials

• Maintaining warehouse, yard and car park cleanliness

• Maintaining bins and dealing with waste and recycling

• Complete and assist in the assembly and dismantling of temporary structures including scaffolding and formwork

• Following company health, safety and environment policies, procedures and instructions during the performance of all work

We require you to have:

• Construction White Card

• Good physical fitness as this can be a demanding job

• Experience in using power tools. i.e. jack hammers, grinders and drills

• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude

• Willingness to learn and adapt

• Capacity to follow instructions and work as part of a team
