Automation and Technology Engineer

The Union Dairy Company has an annual processing capacity of 300 million litres of raw milk and began production in 2017. Located in Penola, South Australia, our purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the-art factory and is the newest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
We are currently seeking suitably experienced applicants for the role of Automation and Technology Engineer, located in Penola, SA.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain, troubleshoot and improve electrical, automation and process control systemsDevelop and implement electrical and automation solutions for projects and continuous improvementProvide technical support to Maintenance and Production teams and assist with breakdowns and fault findingMaintain electrical and automation documentation, standards and compliance requirementsSupport maintenance planning, projects, procurement and HV maintenance activitiesEnsure all work meets safety, electrical, food safety and quality requirementsAssist with automation system upgrades and new technology implementationSupport training, knowledge sharing and effective communication across Maintenance and Production teams
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Electrical or Automation trade qualificationExperience in electrical maintenance and industrial automation, preferably in food manufacturingStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of electrical standards, automation systems and process controlGood communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
