Full Time Medical Receptionist

We are a brand-new private ophthalmology clinic in Parkville, offering a modern, purpose-built practice with beautifully designed office. We foster a positive and supportive workplace where teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team in a full-time role.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an integral role in creating a welcoming experience for our patients while supporting the day-to-day administration of our busy practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Front desk duties including greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service.

• Appointment bookings and management

• Answering telephone and email enquiries

• Entering and managing accurate patient records

• Processing referrals and correspondence

• Handling payments and receipting

• Processing Medicare and private health fund claims

• Providing general administrative support to the team

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous medical reception or medical administration experience (essential)

• Previous Gentu experience (desired)

• Excellent telephone manner and professional email communication skills, with strong attention to written presentation

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment,

• A warm, friendly, and approachable manner with a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient care

• Confident using computers and learning new systems

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Full working rights in Australia and able to work full time
