Trainee Sales Consultant

Hidden Valley Ford is part of Regent Motors Group, a growing automotive group operating across the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We are seeking a motivated Trainee Sales Consultant to join our friendly and successful Darwin sales team.

Previous automotive sales experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and the ambition to learn, develop and succeed.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced sales team, you will learn every stage of the vehicle sales process while delivering an outstanding experience to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and identifying their vehicle needs

• Developing strong, long-term customer relationships

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of our vehicle range and available stock

• Providing customers with accurate product information and advice

• Assisting customers with vehicle selection and purchasing decisions

• Conducting vehicle presentations, demonstrations and test drives

• Following up enquiries, referrals and sales leads

• Building new business through proactive customer contact

• Working towards individual and dealership sales targets

• Completing sales paperwork accurately and efficiently

• Coordinating with the Pre-Delivery Department to ensure vehicles are prepared for handover

• Ensuring customers receive a professional and enjoyable delivery experience

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A genuine interest in automotive sales and customer service

• Previous sales or customer service experience, although this is not essential

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach

• Strong organization and time-management skills

• Confidence using computers and learning new systems

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Motivation to achieve targets and build a successful career

• A current and valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
