Junior/Graduate Accountant

Swann is an established Australian consumer security company headquartered in Melbourne. We provide security cameras and smart home security solutions through major retail and e-commerce channels across Australia.

Our Melbourne office is the core of our Australian operations, bringing together finance, sales, marketing, supply chain and other corporate functions. The team also works closely with our international operations across North America and Europe.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or early-career accountant looking to develop broad, hands-on accounting experience. The role will initially have a strong focus on accounts payable, while also providing exposure to general accounting, reconciliations, month-end activities and other areas of finance.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs

• Perform supplier, bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies

• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations

• Support intercompany accounting and employee expenses

• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation

• Support the Finance team with general accounting and reporting activities

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience

• Good understanding of accounting fundamentals

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good Excel and analytical skills

• Organised, proactive and willing to learn

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Previous accounts payable or accounting experience is an advantage

• Mandarin speaking is a plus
