Classroom Primary Teacher

The Role

A highly skilled, innovative and experienced educator is sought for a full-time fixed term replacement position based at our Junior School (boys), Essendon Campus for the 2027 school year. Classroom teachers work collaboratively with colleagues and assist in the development of a curriculum that supports student care and wellbeing and the school’s culture of a thinking school. 

This position is commencing on 25 January 2027 to 10 December 2027.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher
• expertise in the curriculum and in current pedagogical thinking;
• a commitment to student care and well-being;
• an understanding of and commitment to teaching single sex classes; and
• support for the school’s values, including support for a broad co-curricular program.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold VIT registration. 

The School

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School has almost 3000 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East. We have outstanding staff, facilities and programmes to enhance student wellbeing and learning and develop creative, caring and critical thinkers.
