Relationship Manager, Active Philanthropy (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

We're looking for a Relationship Manager, Active Philanthropy to join our Philanthropy & Community Trustee Services team, where you'll manage a portfolio of sophisticated giving structures and support clients in achieving their charitable and social impact goals.
 
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals, families, corporate clients, external stakeholders and sector partners to deliver exceptional client outcomes. You'll combine relationship management, philanthropy expertise and commercial acumen to help clients maximise their giving impact while ensuring governance, compliance and fiduciary obligations are met. You'll also contribute to thought leadership, business growth initiatives and the ongoing evolution of our Active Philanthropy offering.
 
What you'll do:

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of Active Philanthropy clients, including public ancillary funds, private ancillary funds and corporate foundations. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with philanthropists, next-generation family members, corporate decision-makers, advisory panel members, sector partners and investment managers.
• Oversee governance, compliance, reporting and fiduciary responsibilities across a portfolio of charitable trust structures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client objectives are achieved and trustee obligations are met. 
• Represent Equity Trustees at client meetings, industry events and philanthropic forums, helping strengthen our presence across the sector.
• Leverage fundraising, corporate giving and social impact expertise to support clients and build sector capacity.
• Contribute to business development activities, identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships and grow the Active Philanthropy portfolio.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including technology implementation, process enhancement and thought leadership content development.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 5+ years' experience in relationship management, client management or a related stakeholder-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of the philanthropy and for-purpose sector, with an understanding of its connections to wealth management and financial services.
• Experience in corporate giving, fundraising, philanthropy, social impact or charitable trust environments.
• Financial literacy and a sound understanding of investment concepts and their role in sustainable giving.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders. 
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while delivering a high standard of client service.
• A collaborative mindset, a passion for creating impact, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications are required. Qualifications in law, finance, philanthropy or social impact will be highly regarded, along with trust management, fundraising or corporate foundation experience.
