Manager – Tax & Business Services – Regional North Queensland – Established Advisory Firm

MANAGER – TAX & BUSINESS SERVICES – REGIONAL NORTH QUEENSLAND – ESTABLISHED ADVISORY FIRM (JOB ID 1543)

Our client, is a long-established and highly respected integrated accounting and financial services firm with over 70 years of history across North Queensland. With a team of 75+ professionals across multiple offices, the firm offers a full suite of services including accounting, tax, financial planning, SMSF, audit, and business advisory, supporting a diverse client base across the region. 

The Role: 

• Manage a portfolio of clients across tax, accounting and business advisory  

• Deliver high-quality financial statements, tax returns and compliance work  

• Provide strategic advice around business performance, structuring and tax planning 

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships  

• Work closely with Partners on complex client matters and business strategy  

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small high-performing team  

• Oversee workflow, ensuring deadlines and lodgement requirements are met  

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or related discipline  

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent postgraduate qualification)  

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in public practice / business services  

• Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards  

• Experience managing client portfolios and delivering advisory services  

• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop team members  

• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills  

• Proficient with Xero, XPM, Microsoft Office and ATO Portal
