About the position

Council’s Corporate Communications Department is looking for a Communications Officer.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Deliver strategic communications and campaigns that support Council's priorities, projects and initiatives 
• Create compelling content and manage media opportunities to bring Council and community stories to life 
• Project manage Council's suite of publications, delivering high-quality content that informs and connects our community 

About you

• Strong commitment and ability to work in a highly customer-focused team culture
• Substantial experience in journalism, media and communications or public relations
• Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in journalism, media, public relations or similar field

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
