About the role
POSSE is an Australian womenswear brand known for its classic silhouettes and commitment to quality.
We're looking for a Garment Technician to own the technical execution of our product development - from first sample through to shipment. Working closely with our Design team, you'll be the owner of fit, construction and quality across every collection, driving the process that turns a design vision into a beautifully made, true-to-brand garment.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who thrives on solving construction problems before they become production problems, and who takes real pride in getting the fit right.
What You'll DoPartner with Design and Product Development to assess construction, fit and performance of new styles, creating and maintaining detailed Tech Packs (measurements, construction, fabrication, grading).Lead seasonal fit sessions and manage sample submissions, wear testing and re-fits to keep approvals on track with the critical path.Work directly with suppliers and factories on fit, construction, grading and quality, resolving issues before they reach the floor.Maintain accurate technical documentation and a library of approved samples across every stage of development.Contribute to continuous improvement of our technical and production processes.
What You'll Bring5+ years' experience in ladies apparel highly regarded; candidates with 3+ years and strong technical ability are also encouraged to apply.Solid garment construction knowledge across both woven and knitted fabrics.A sharp eye for detail and the organisation to anticipate problems before they arise, and the initiative to solve them.Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills for working across design, suppliers and production.The ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing deadlines, and keep the critical path on track.
