As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team at our Prospect Office and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, and financial records. You will play a key role in maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the wider finance function in delivering reliable and compliant financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices and statements (high volume)

• Ensure timely and accurate weekly payment runs in line with organisational policies

• Respond to internal and external AP queries professionally and promptly

• Maintain organised and accurate financial records and documentation

• Assist with month‑end processes including accruals and reporting

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in AP systems and workflows

• Collaborate with operational teams to resolve discrepancies and promote best practice

About You

You will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a commitment to high‑quality financial administration. You thrive in a supportive team environment and take pride in delivering accurate and timely work.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role

• Strong understanding of AP processes and financial controls

• Proficiency in finance/ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills

• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities

• Strong organisational and time‑management skills

• A proactive and solutions‑focused approach

Desirable:

• Experience in aged care, healthcare, or NFP sectors

• Knowledge of Aged Care funding models and compliance requirements
