In partnership with the Education Centre of Australia (ECA), the University of Tasmania (UTAS) has been delivering courses in Melbourne since 2023. Our suite of offerings include business courses as well as IT courses on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Coordinator to be part of our team at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) campus in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will have the rewarding opportunity to progress your career within the education industry.  We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and is self-motivated and an enthusiastic ‘go-getter’. 

Key Responsibilities:

• development and coordination of the student services team
• oversight of student experience throughout the student lifecycle
• oversight of student welfare and advocacy
• oversite of campus compliance and student retention
• student feedback and engagement
• student support communications.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

• Completion of a relevant degree, or completion of a degree with relevant work experience
• At least two year’s relevant work experience in a Student Services Officer/Team Leader or similar role
• Strong knowledge of solution consulting and involvement in the entire project/student lifecycle.
• Knowledge of the ESOS Act and National Code of Practice, and specifically how it pertains to the delivery of support to international students.
• Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder management
• Analytical, problem-solving, and pre-emptive
• Consultative and open-minded, with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong team player, able to negotiate and influence outcomes with colleagues
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with students and staff from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
