Civil Works Supervisor

We specialise in Civil Construction Infrastructure projects, from major highway construction to detailed intersection works, we pride ourself on our quality of works as well as building strong relationships with our clients.  

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Works Supervisor to join our team and share their knowledge and experience to our projects across the Northern Territory.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and leading our Civil team to ensure the high quality and successful delivery of our projects. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Day to day organisation of the project site and site safety

• Completion of Projects within allocated time and budget

• Control of all assets onsite including, plant, vehicles, hand tools, lasers, etc

• Work closely with the project team to ensure client specifications, internal procedures and compliance are adhered to

• Ensure the project is meeting program timelines and budgets, forward plan and ensure the project has correct resourcing during its life cycle

• Coordinate and plan work to a schedule including the use of GPS/lasers in setting out

• Embrace and continue to encourage DAC’s workplace culture

What you need

• Ability to travel around the NT in remote locations

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Supervisor on civil construction/earthworks projects

• Proven ability to supervise, delegate, train, lead and engage a team to deliver high-quality results

• Ability to read and interpret designs and plans as well as managing subcontractors.

• Ability to multi-task & manage sites

• Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate and drive workforce including training

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with both internal and external clients

• High regard and commitment to safety and attention to detail

• Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills

• Be a team player and work well within a team while maintaining a leadership role

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of Programs, Ms Project is desirable.
