Who are we looking for?
We're partnering with a highly regarded education institution to engage an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a 6-month full-time assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with strong expertise in property, construction, infrastructure and commercial contracting to join a collaborative in-house legal team and provide strategic support on a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic and practical legal advice on property, construction, infrastructure and related commercial matters.

• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on major capital works, development and infrastructure projects.

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, contracts and project documentation.

• Advise on procurement, project delivery, governance, risk management and compliance matters.

• Work closely with business leaders and external advisors to support the successful delivery of key major projects.

To join us, you will:

• Have at least 7 years PQE ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house (with strong legal training) 

• Bring strong experience across property, construction, infrastructure and commercial contracting matters.

• Have the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Experience within education, government, infrastructure or other large and complex organisations will be highly regarded.

• Be available to commence at short notice or immediately.
