Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.
The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).
An exciting opportunity is available for a compassionate and motivated Child and Family Health Nurse to join our community-based team supporting children and families during the crucial early years of life.
In this role, you will work alongside families with children aged 0-5 years, delivering Universal Health Home Visits, developmental assessments, health surveillance and screening services. You will play an important role in identifying health, developmental and family needs early, ensuring families receive the appropriate support and intervention to achieve the best possible outcomes.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based care, health education and advocacy while fostering positive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds. You will also contribute to a culture of learning by supporting the development of colleagues and students through mentorship, guidance and clinical leadership.
We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about child and family health, values collaborative practice and is committed to making a positive impact within the community.
If you are eager to support children and families to thrive and would like to be part of a dedicated and supportive team, we encourage you to apply.
