The Role
We are seeking expressions of interest from outstanding and innovative educators for a full-time ongoing position at the Senior School (Co-educational Years 11-12) commencing in 2027.
This opportunity would suit an experienced teacher of VCE English, particularly one with expertise or interest in VCE English Language.
The successful applicant would join a highly collaborative faculty committed to academic excellence, evidence-informed practice and exceptional student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality teaching of English and English Language to Years 11 and 12 students.Utilising current pedagogical thinking to enhance student learning.Committing to student care and wellbeing.Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Strong knowledge of senior English curriculum and assessmentExperience teaching VCE English and/or VCE English LanguageHigh expectations for student learning and achievementExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsCommitted to professional collaboration and continuous improvement
Teaching within the Senior School provides the opportunity to work with highly motivated students in a purpose-built senior learning environment (Larkin Centre) focused on academic achievement, wellbeing and preparation for life beyond school.

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) has approximately 3,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
