Salon Coordinator

Role Overview

PALOMA Salon is a premium hairdressing destination for effortless luxury, technical excellence, and holistic guest experience. We're a high-performing, values-driven salon team where collaboration, care, and consistency are key. As our Salon Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of the salon — overseeing daily operations, leading our team with warmth and precision, and ensuring every guest's experience reflects our "Playing to Win" philosophy. You'll work closely with our Director to deliver a high level of service, organisation, and communication — ensuring both our guests and team are supported, seen, and inspired every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage team calendars and appointment scheduling across phone, email, and online bookings

• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and requests

• Adjust and reorganise appointments to align with team availability

• Handle guest payments and maintain accurate transaction and daily banking records

• Create and manage team rosters and weekly scheduling

• Oversee apprentice sign-ups and liaise with TAFE and apprenticeship boards

• Manage challenging client situations with professionalism and care

• Conduct weekly stock ordering and inventory management (retail, professional, cleaning, stationery, refreshments)

• Complete weekly banking and financial reporting

• Provide daily and weekly reporting to the Owner/Director

• Coordinate and assist with salon events and partnerships

• Support and motivate the team to achieve KPIs

• Assist the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

• Maintain smooth day-to-day salon operations

• Uphold the Paloma Salon five-star service standards

What We're Looking For

• Strong leadership and team coordination skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Initiative, drive, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment

• A passion for creating exceptional guest experiences

• Hairdressing background preferred (but not essential)

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential) High consideration is taken on who you are, who you present yourself and what you could bring to the salon.
