About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will be the link between customers, product owners and delivery teams, supporting the business requirements, cases and solution analysis to enable the effective delivery of agreed changes.

You will bring both a business and systems focus, helping to gather and define business and functional requirements, understand system, business and customer impacts, and support the analysis, proposal and documentation of solutions that improve customer business efficiency, productivity and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the facilitation of workshops and discussions with internal and external customers regarding potential software solutions, identifying potential benefits and available options for consideration.
• Gather, define and document business and functional requirements through appropriate analysis of stakeholder objectives.
• Assist with showcases and demonstrations of solutions as required.
• Prepare end user documentation and support the creation of clear, well-structured deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with customers and test analysts to define acceptance tests.
• Develop an understanding of the software development lifecycle and required end user outcomes.
• Build awareness of industry business processes and legislative requirements that may influence or impact software products.
• Contribute to solution scope in collaboration with senior team members to enable delivery teams to develop solutions.
• Provide input into the development of Change Estimates, including quotes.
• Participate in the investigation and analysis of the Product Backlog.
• Provide input into the prioritisation of software changes based on customer and business priorities.
• Work with product owners and delivery teams to break Epics into deliverable Features and Stories.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or demonstrated relevant experience (essential).
• Understands various tools and techniques for business analysis.
• Understands software delivery principles.
• Understands agile software delivery principles.
• Understanding and application of MS Office Suite and any other programs/applications as required, including Exstream Designer / Design Manager / Command Centre.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management and teamwork skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with staff at all levels.
