Warehouse Coordinator

About the role

Territory Bandag is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Darwin, NT. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre. As Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth inventory management, and maintaining high standards of organisation and safety. This role is pivotal in supporting our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating warehouse staff and supervising daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and safety standards are maintained

• Managing inventory control, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in accordance with company procedures

• Monitoring stock levels and reconciling inventory records with physical stock counts

• Organising and optimising warehouse layout and storage systems to maximise space utilisation

• Processing purchase orders and ensuring accurate fulfillment of customer orders

• Liaising with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to coordinate deliveries and shipments

• Maintaining accurate warehouse documentation and records using warehouse management systems

• Implementing and promoting health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

• Identifying process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency

• Training and supporting warehouse staff on procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, ideally in a coordinating or supervisory capacity

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory control software

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving materials

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is highly desirable

• A valid driver's licence is preferred
