Heavy Duty Mechanic – Mackay Workshop

BTP has long term opportunities for HD Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic’s to join our team in Mackay. Day and Afternoon Shifts available.

Machine Rebuilds and repairs, Scheduled Maintenance, Diagnostics, Commissioning, Tuning / Adjusting and Component Change outs to a large variety of surface mining equipment. High quality of work and attention to detail with a large focus on personal and team safety. Working within a great team environment the successful applicant will be helping drive a positive culture while assisting apprentices build their confidence and skillset.

Key Requirements

Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Trade Qualifications
Experience working on CAT, Komatsu, or Hitachi mining equipment.
Sound knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems.
Valid Australian Drivers Licence
Valid Forklift Licence
Dogging Ticket (desirable)
Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to a Full Pre-Employment medical and National Police Clearance)
