About Us
Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 40 years. BRAMS provides comprehensive, holistic, and culturally responsive primary health care and community services to Aboriginal people living in Broome.
In addition to primary health care, BRAMS is an approved aged care and NDIS provider and delivers a range of community services that support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people and their families. Services are designed to be person-centred, culturally safe, and responsive to the needs of individuals across the life course.

About the Role
This is an identified position. To be eligible, applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, pursuant to Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
The Aboriginal Health Practitioner delivers high-quality, culturally safe primary health care as part of the multidisciplinary team. The role provides clinical assessments, health checks, wound care, screening, recalls and follow-up, chronic disease support, immunisation support, health promotion and education within AHPRA scope of practice.
You will contribute to care planning, support GPs and nurses in delivering integrated, person-centred care, and provide cultural advice that strengthens engagement with consumers and families. The role works in accordance with the BRAMS Model of Care, Quality Care Framework and Consumer Voice Framework, supporting early intervention and prevention activities.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, experience with GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements, and familiarity with primary health care clinical software will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
