About the role
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/all-round trade to join our growing team at Redrock maintenance located throughout the Kimberley region, Western Australia. This role would suit self-employed individual with own tools and be responsible for providing high-quality carpentry, property maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients in town and remote communities in East and West Kimberley. Would suit a FIFO carpenter.
Key responsibilities
Undertaking a variety of carpentry tasks, including lock changes, hanging doors, finishing, patching and installing cabinets and other woodwork
Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accurate project execution
Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on existing structures and furniture
Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure successful project completion
Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to junior members of the team
About you
Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the trades and services industry
Driving licence
Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and find creative solutions
Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification desirable but not needed for right candidate
