About the role
At Treehouse Queanbeyan, we believe occupational therapy should be about more than completing assessments and ticking boxes. It should be about helping children discover what they can do, building confidence and independence, and creating opportunities for them to participate in the things that matter most to them.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team and work alongside children with disability, developmental delay and neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to practise OT in a supportive, collaborative environment where your clinical expertise is valued and your ideas can genuinely influence how we deliver services.
You will work with children and families to understand their strengths, interests, challenges and goals, developing practical, meaningful interventions that can make a difference in everyday life. Your work may include supporting sensory regulation, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor development, executive functioning, self-care, play, social participation, school participation and independence.
At Treehouse, you won't work in isolation. You will collaborate closely with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Developmental Educators, Early Intervention Teachers, Counsellors, Key Workers and Therapy Assistants, giving you the opportunity to learn from other disciplines and provide genuinely integrated support to children and families.
We are particularly interested in clinicians who are passionate about paediatric practice, neurodiversity-affirming approaches and strengths-based therapy. We value creativity, curiosity, professional growth and the ability to think beyond traditional therapy models.
You will have access to clinical supervision, professional development and a team that genuinely cares about doing good work.
Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with children and families and see the real-world impact of your work.
If you are an OT who wants to make a difference—not just deliver therapy—we'd love to hear from you.
Come and grow with Treehouse.
