Position Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team in Canberra (ACT). This is a full-time, ongoing position that requires on-site work at our ACT production facility and various client locations.

The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing custom cabinetry in both residential and commercial projects throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Select and work with materials including timber, veneers, laminates, and engineered wood products

• Program and operate CNC and manual woodworking machinery

• Assemble cabinetry components and install them on-site

• Apply protective coatings and finishes

• Fit hinges, locks, drawers, shelves, and other hardware

• Maintain and calibrate cabinetmaking equipment

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards

• May also repair, refurbish, or reproduce furniture, including detailed and antique pieces

Skills and Experience Required

• AQF Certificate III in Cabinetmaking (or equivalent)

• Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in cabinetmaking

• Skilled in reading detailed plans and job specifications

• Proficient in operating CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, and other joinery machinery

• Experience with CAD software (advantageous)

• Ability to deliver high-precision, custom joinery work

• Must have own tools and steel-capped boots

• Possession of a White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card, or willingness to obtain them
