Retail Shop Assistant

UMS are a well-established provider of school and professional uniforms, with multiple retail locations across Brisbane and surrounding areas. We are seeking a retail professional for a new school uniform shop opening in 2027. The role is for immediate start as you will be training and then instrumental in helping set up the school uniform shop alongside the UMS management team.

The role once established is 10-15 hours each week with more hours offered in peak periods.

During the set up period hours are expected to be around 15-20 hours per week.

This role is a fast paced and will span across two schools- with some special needs students.

As a Casual Retail Assistant, you'll be the face of our store – helping customers find the right fit, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers with product selection and fittings

• Operating the register and processing sales

• Restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness

• Ensuring displays are neat and well-organised

• Packing online orders

• Supporting store teams during peak periods (e.g., back-to-school)
