Truck driver / Labourer East and West Melbourne

Metroplant & Civil Services is seeking an experienced HR or MR Truck Driver / Civil Labourer to join our team based from our Highett / Sunshine North.

This is a hands-on role combining truck driving with civil construction labouring. It is not a driving-only position, and the successful applicant must be willing to work alongside the crew throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving HR or MR trucks to and from worksites

• Transporting plant, materials, spoil and equipment

• Loading and unloading construction materials

• Completing daily vehicle pre-starts and reporting faults

• Towing plant and equipment where required

• Assisting with concrete reinstatement works

• Helping with footpaths, kerb and channel, pram crossings and vehicle crossings

• Using hand and power tools

• Site clean-up and general labouring

• Working safely around pedestrians, traffic and existing services

The successful applicant will have:

• A current HR or MR licence

• Previous truck driving experience

• A Construction Industry White Card

• A current Australian driver’s licence

• Experience in civil construction or labouring

• Good physical fitness

• A reliable and safety-focused attitude

• The ability to work well as part of a crew

• Reliable transport to our Highett yard

Experience with concrete works, civil maintenance, plant transport or council projects will be highly regarded.
