Team Leader - Account Management

The Role

As Team Leader, Account Management, you’ll play a key role in driving the performance and success of the Account Management team. Working closely with the Head of Account Management, you’ll help shape and execute sales strategies, coach and develop your team, and build strong client relationships that drive retention, growth and loyalty.

You’re a confident and people-focused sales leader who knows how to get the best out of a team. You bring a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills and a genuine focus on building lasting client relationships.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Account Management to develop and execute strategies that support team and business targets.
• Coach, mentor and develop Account Managers to maximise individual and team performance.
• Support client retention initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to minimise churn and strengthen customer loyalty.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth, customer value and market share.
• Lead and contribute to the planning and delivery of team and organisational objectives.
• Provide insights and feedback from the team to key internal and external stakeholders, helping inform business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve team capability, processes and sales performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience leading, coaching or developing a sales or account management team.
• Strong sales and commercial acumen, with a track record of working towards and achieving targets.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback and hold team members accountable for performance.
• A coaching mindset with a genuine interest in developing people and unlocking their potential.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to adapt and pivot in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use team performance, customer and commercial insights to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
• Strong understanding of account management, customer retention and sales growth strategies.
• Confidence to take ownership and provide leadership in the absence of the Head of Account Management.
