Support Worker - NDIS and Community Care

We are now looking for experienced and passionate Casual Support Workers to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a real difference in their day-to-day lives.

We have a range of casual shifts available across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses and community services, including day, afternoon, overnight, weekend and leave cover.

Applicants must be willing to undertake sleep shifts.

As a Support Worker, you will provide individualised care and support while encouraging choice, independence and participation. You will work alongside our Team Leaders and other Support Workers to provide a safe, supportive and positive environment for the people we support.

• Providing person-centred support within our SIL houses and community

• Supporting clients with daily living activities and household routines

• Supporting community access, appointments and activities

• Encouraging independence and supporting individual goals

• Building positive and respectful relationships with the people we support

• Working closely with Team Leaders and other Support Workers

• Working independently while also being part of a team

• Following individual support plans, policies and procedures

• Maintaining NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Standards

• Completing relevant documentation and reporting

We're looking for people who are reliable, caring and genuinely enjoy supporting others.

You will ideally have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or a related field

• Previous experience in NDIS, disability, aged care, SIL or community support

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• A genuine person-centred approach

• Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain

• Current Australian full driver's licence

• Willingness to work sleep shifts
