Project Coordinator

About the opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Coordinator looking to develop their career in project management. You will play an integral role in contributing to the success of our business within a supportive team. You will support the successful execution of projects, with duties including;

• Liaise with clients, to provide specific project services

• Minimise risks to project schedule by liaising closely with suppliers, expediting orders and escalating issues 

• Handle documentation control and the preparation of data dossiers

• Track open issues and provide status reports, including performance against set KPIs

• Utilise internal ERP (SAP) and third party/customer specified business systems and portals 

• Work closely with other internal departments, including sales / operations / quality / finance

• Attend customer meetings including calls, site visits, kick off meetings and contract reviews as required

• Collate and produce performance reports with monthly statistics & KPIs as required

• Comply with and conform to ISO standards

• Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management

• Support the Project Sales Manager/Senior Project Engineer and wider MRC Global team in the execution of our local and international contracts

Do you have a mixture of skills, capabilities and experience?

• Team orientated and focused

• Experience in an industrial setting with sales/projects and in engineered or industrial products (preferably similar to valves and valve automation, pipe, fittings and flanges)

• An understanding of industrial specifications will be helpful 

• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills

• Proven track record of working to deadlines and managing clients expectations

• Competent in MS Office applications including Excel

• Strong attention to detail

• Energetic and positive attitude to problem solving

• Desire to learn and be part of a great team

• Experience with SAP or similar in-house ERP system is preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.
