WAREHOUSE FULL TIME FORKLIFT

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Full Time Forklift Operator to join the Original Mattress Factory team in Blacktown, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our warehouse facility, where you will play a crucial role in our warehousing and distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods using forklift equipment, contributing directly to our operational excellence and on-time delivery commitments to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move, stack, and store goods within the warehouse

• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage

• Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions

• Performing regular safety checks on forklift equipment and reporting any maintenance issues immediately

• Organising and arranging products in the warehouse to maximise space utilisation and ensure easy access

• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

• Assisting with stock-taking and cycle counts as required

• Working collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet daily operational targets and deadlines

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Valid Forklift Licence or the ability to obtain one (High Risk Work License preferred)

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment

• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, particularly in material handling and warehouse operations

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced warehouse setting

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to full-time employment

• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

• Previous experience in the furniture or mattress manufacturing industry is advantageous
