Hose Technician

At Abdex Industries, our hose technicians are central to the quality, reliability and service our customers rely on. You’ll be working with specialist hose products used across demanding industries, supported by a team that values safety, accuracy, practical problem-solving and doing the job properly.

We’re looking for a Hose Technician to join our Darra operation and become part of a stable, experienced and growth-focused team.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Hose Technician, you’ll assemble, test, inspect and service specialist hose products used in mining, oil and gas, hydraulics and industrial applications. This is a practical, hands-on role where quality, safety and attention to detail matter every day.

Your role will include:

• Manufacturing specialist hose assemblies to high quality and safety standards

• Conducting pressure testing, inspections, certification and general hose service

• Operating hose assembly tools, test equipment and workshop machinery

• Supporting warehouse activities, including forklift operations where required

• Keeping the workshop safe, clean, organised and ready for efficient daily operations

What We’re Looking For

You’ll suit this role if you’re reliable, mechanically minded, safety-focused and comfortable working in a busy workshop environment. Experience in hose assembly is highly regarded, but we’re also interested in people with strong practical skills and the right attitude.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience with hose assemblies, valves, tubing, mechanical equipment, hydraulics or a similar hands-on trade environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialist equipment and processes

• A strong focus on safety, accuracy and producing quality work

• A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently when needed

• Good communication, reliability and time management

• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks, including lifting 20kg+

• Current forklift license and driver’s license, or willingness to obtain/maintain required licenses where applicable

• Australian work rights for this position
