About the Building Commission NSW
Building Commission NSW (BCNSW) has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. The new commission will not only be the industry regulator, but also a collaborator with consumers and industry to ensure standards, capabilities, capacity and resilience continue to be lifted across the sector to deliver quality homes and meet the state's housing targets.

Responsibilities include:
Identify, analyse and translate business processes, technical functions and information from multiple data sources into meaningful insights, identifying opportunities to improve business performance, customer outcomes and regulatory effectiveness.Investigate business problems, analyse options and provide evidence-based recommendations to support new and existing digital services, products, initiatives and strategies.Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations, storyboards and executive briefing materials that communicate complex concepts, discovery findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling way for technical and non-technical audiences.Analyse and synthesise discovery findings, identifying key themes, business needs, risks, assumptions, dependencies and opportunities to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct business analysis activities including requirements gathering, business process mapping, impact assessments, documenting business rules, functional and non-functional requirements, and supporting solution design.Support the planning and delivery of complex digital programs and initiatives by applying strong project management principles, coordinating activities, monitoring progress and helping optimise business outcomes.Demonstrate an outcomes-focused approach by understanding the intended business objectives, proactively identifying the work required to achieve them, and taking ownership of delivering quality outcomes with minimal direction.Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring information is organised, version controlled, accurate and easily accessible to support effective governance, collaboration and knowledge management.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, resolving issues and balancing competing priorities to achieve successful project outcomes.Translate complex analysis into clear insights, recommendations and implementation options that effectively influence a diverse range of stakeholders and support informed decision-making.Support agile delivery by working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, adapting to changing priorities and contributing across discovery, design, delivery and continuous improvement activities.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Salary Grade 07/08, with the base salary for this role starting at 116,981 base plus superannuation
