Medical Receptionist

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills to join our reception team at Westside Medical Centre. The position is for 4 or 5 days a week (0.8-1 FTE).

Westside Medical Centre is a modern general practice providing high quality, holistic and ongoing primary medical care. As first point of call, our reception team are essential in supporting our patients and the clinical team.

Qualifications & experience

Experience in medical reception is a big plus, but not essential. If you are open to learning and a team player and you are looking for a long-term position, we are happy to teach you all the tricks. As you find your feet in our team, your position will evolve, and your responsibilities will grow.

Tasks & responsibilities

You will be managing patient relationships and helping our patients feel comfortable and respected. As part of that patient journey, you will also be involved in the administrative tasks that are critical for their care. Some of your tasks will be:

• Answering telephone calls and enquiries

• Booking and managing patient appointments

• Processing consultation payments and Medicare rebates

• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence (pathology, referrals, imaging))
