What is in store for you...

As our Senior Metallurgist, you won’t just monitor performance — you’ll drive it. Working at the heart of our gold operation, you’ll play a key role in maximising recovery, improving plant performance and making a real impact where it counts.

In this role, you will:

• Partner closely with Geology to manage and monitor ROM stock inventory, supporting ore blending and processing outcomes.

• Provide high-level monitoring of plant performance, identifying trends, opportunities and areas for optimisation.

• Drive continuous improvement across processing, recovery and tailings functions to maximise efficiency and gold recovery.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve plant performance, recovery and operational reliability.

• Support the optimisation of processing parameters and metallurgical performance to deliver the highest sustainable financial return.

• Ensure plant activities are delivered in the safest and most cost-effective way, balancing operational performance with compliance and risk management.

• Collaborate closely with site stakeholders to provide technical metallurgical expertise and operational support.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence across the processing team.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems and influencing outcomes — not just monitoring them from the sidelines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, practical operational experience and a hands-on approach to gold processing.

• Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or related discipline.

• Minimum 4–5 years’ experience as a Metallurgist within the gold mining industry, including mentoring or supporting junior team members.

• Strong practical experience across gold processing operations, including comminution, gravity recovery (Knelson/Acacia), leaching, carbon adsorption, elution, electrowinning and tailings management.

• Sound knowledge of metallurgical test work, circuit surveys, process control, sampling, QAQC, mine reconciliation and metallurgical accounting.

• Strong Excel and reporting capability, with experience maintaining recovery tracking, mass balance and variance analysis.

• Experience in sustainable capital projects, plant optimisation and process improvement initiatives.

• Familiarity with budgeting cycles and strategic planning.

• Strong understanding of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.

• Practical, hands-on operational mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across plant and leadership teams.

• Excellent communication skills, with confidence to challenge constructively and contribute to continuous improvement and business performance.

• Direct gold room experience and understanding of precious metal handling and end-of-circuit processes (desirable).
