About the role and where you will be working:

Our residential Care team at Jeremiah Donovan House are currently looking for a Chef on a permanent part time basis working Wednesdays and Thursdays 0700-1500pm.

Surrounded by natural bushland at the foot of the Kalamunda Hills, Jeremiah Donovan House provides 24/7 clinical and personal care in a comfortable and relaxing environment.

We want our residents to feel at home, and we fully cater for all different types of dietary needs. So, you’ll be serving meals that could be texture-modified or plated in a particular way.

We want our residents to feel at home, and proudly offer meals / snacks that are nutritious, palatable and attractive.

About you:

With commercial cooking experience under your belt, you may already be working in aged care or perhaps you've been contemplating moving into the aged care sector.

You might have finessed your skills in restaurants or commercial kitchens but want to try something different. 

Once you’ve settled into your new role, you'll truly appreciate knowing that you've made a genuine difference in the quality of our residents' lives.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Prior experience in commercial cooking services
• An understanding of specific dietary requirements
• Knowledge of safe handling & storage of chemicals
• Great interpersonal skills
