About the role
Skippers, WA’s Truly Regional Airline, welcome applicants for the position of Continuing Airworthiness Manager to lead and manage the activities of our CASA-approved Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).
Brief Description:
This is a senior aviation management position responsible for ensuring the continuing airworthiness of the organisation’s aircraft fleet and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory, operational, and company requirements.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the Continuing Airworthiness Manager will be responsible for the effective management and oversight of the CAMO, including:
Ensuring continuing airworthiness activities are conducted in accordance with CASR Part 42, the Part 42 MOS, the approved CAMO Exposition (CAMOE), and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintaining oversight of aircraft maintenance programs and ensuring required maintenance is planned and performed within approved limits.
Managing the assessment and implementation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness, modifications, repairs, and other technical requirements.
Monitoring aircraft defects, reliability trends, repetitive defects, component performance, and technical risks.
Ensuring aircraft configuration, technical records, life-limited components, maintenance status, and continuing airworthiness data are appropriately controlled.
Managing and supporting airworthiness review activities and the issue or extension of Airworthiness Review Certificates, where applicable.
Supporting audits, investigations, regulatory surveillance, occurrence reviews, and corrective action processes.
Ensuring contracted maintenance and continuing airworthiness activities are appropriately controlled and monitored.
Maintaining effective interfaces between the Part 42 CAMO, Part 145 maintenance organisation, flight operations, suppliers, OEMs and regulatory authorities.
Promoting a strong culture of regulatory compliance, technical integrity, safety, and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Requirements
Experience in CAMO (minimum 3 years) preferably as a Part 42 Responsible Manager.
Strong working knowledge of CASR Part 42 and associated continuing airworthiness requirements.
Hold or has held:
Maintenance certification license in category B1, B2 or C or equivalent.
Engineering qualification, at least diploma level in any of the following: aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical or electronics.
Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Ability to commit and deliver quality outcomes.
Ability to demonstrate reliability, accuracy and willingness to accept responsibility.
A high level of communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
Satisfy the requirements of obtaining Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).
