The Health and Safety function plays a critical role in supporting the WRDT's commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and high-performing workplace.

About the opportunity
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Health and Safety Coordinator to play a central role in supporting our Health and Safety function. Working closely with senior leaders and project teams, you'll help drive effective reporting, systems, communications, and coordination that support a strong safety culture across the business.

What you'll be doing
As our Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be the central point of coordination for a range of business-critical activities, including:

• Coordinating the preparation of monthly Health and Safety reports, dashboards, registers, and performance data.

• Supporting the administration and continuous improvement of safety systems.

• Managing team communications, meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and documentation across a broad stakeholder group.

• Maintaining accurate records, registers, and controlled documentation to support compliance and governance requirements.

• Providing high-level administrative support to the Health and Safety leadership team.

• Assisting with the coordination of key Health and Safety initiatives, projects, and team activities.

• Acting as a trusted liaison between operational teams, project stakeholders, and Health and Safety leadership.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within Health and Safety, construction, or infrastructure environments.

• Experience preparing reports, presentations, and business documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.

• The flexibility and enthusiasm to travel regularly to our project sites, building relationships with operational teams and gaining a firsthand understanding of our Health and Safety activities across the business.
